What about COVID-19 border restrictions?
We’ve not experienced any great hold ups at any border. Since the restrictions came into play, we’ve been to all mainland states and territories except the ACT. We travel fully provisioned, practice social distancing, sleep in our vehicles to help minimise the spread. Interstate driver is tested every Tuesday.
What about insurance?
Australia Wide Express vehicles are comprehensively insured. We also hold Public Liability and Goods In Transit policies to cover your goods whilst in our possession. Certificates of Currency can be emailed to you upon request.
How do your rates work?
It depends on the job and the vehicle we use. Some jobs we charge by the hour, most by the kilometre. Ring us for more info.
Do your drivers wear a uniform?
Yes. High visibility long sleeved shirts and trousers along with steel capped boots are worn by all our drivers. Other PPE in our vehicles includes hard hats, gloves and safety eyewear.
Can I send dangerous goods?
Yes, but naturally conditions / restrictions apply. Call us for details.
You guys have my goods on the road, but I have a change of plan. What now?
No problem. Australia Wide Express gives you direct contact with your driver 24/7. Your package is secured and delivered by the same person in the same vehicle as when it left your premises, to guarantee efficiency. Which also means you have a direct line to your goods.
There have been some terrible accidents recently in the transport industry involving poorly serviced vehicles. Do you maintain yours?
Absolutely. Our reputation rides on our vehicles. Vehicle service records will be made available should they be required (pending Privacy Act constraints). Our vehicles are maintained independently by trusted industry professionals.
I don't need a long distance courier, I just want to send a ute load of gear across town. Would you guys do that?
